Best Friend Weekend

A couple of weekends ago I drove to Austin for my sister Megan's Bachelorette Party. On my way to the party, I stopped in San Antonio to visit 2 of my best friends: Melissa and Courtney. It was a short visit but we had fun relaxing, talking and hanging out with the kiddos. My first destination was Courtney's house in Boerne. The boys are the 2 cutiest, loving. happy little guys. It crazy how McCoy looks like Chris and Hudson looks like Courtney. McCoy is at the fun stage where he wants to talk all the time and play with trucks!!! Hudson was so cute crawling all over the place. I can't believe he is 1. Courtney looks great like always and of course we went shopping.

Momo and I headed back to SA and picked up her adorable little girl Macyee. Macyee is the happiest, Pattie, blue eyed, blond hair, dramatic little girl that looks just like Mark and Momo. She was walking all over the house getting into everything and has such a dramatic reaction to everything. I spent the night in SA and enjoyed the evening with Momo and Maycee. The next morning, Mark did a taco run!! It reminded me of college when Mark would bring us tacos and talk all morning. It was a short, but
awsome day trip. I love seeing the girls, kids, and of course the shopping. I look forward to any trip that I can stop in and say hi!

BEST FRIENDS

My best friend from college Naomi & Craig came to visit us at the begining of May. It was a relaxing weekend for us old people. After working all week, just hanging out and watching a movie is lots fun. We took Naomi and Craig, our neighbor David, Liz, and baby Gracie to our favorite restaurant in the stock yards Joe T. Garcia's. Naomi and I talked all weekend and I can't believe I am saying this but we DID not go shopping. That is a first for us. We usually can't help but shop when we are together. Now that she is living in New York, I only get to see her about once a year. Hopefully they will be moving closer to Texas next year.
Well, I have decided to join the world of blogging. I love looking at my friends pictures and being able to keep up with everybody busy schedule, so I thought they would like to be able to keep up with me. It has been a crazy year since I decided to do the 3 most stressful things all at once. I got married, found a new job, and moved 7 hours from my family and friends all in a matter of 6 months before our wedding day. Jared and I love Fort Worth and have adjusted to the crazy storms, dry but hot weather, and of course having to drive 7 hours to see our family. We bought our first house together and are working on fixing it up. I will show pictures when we are done.

I am not sure where to start with my first blog, so I decide to start in May. May 19th was our first anniversary!! I can't believe it has been a year and a great year. The wonderful day happen to fall on a Monday, which is Jared's day to work late and after teaching a whole year of Jr. high kids I am exhausted at 4:00. I planned a romantic dinner at home using all of our nice place settings and toasting glasses from our wedding. Those of you that know me, the word COOK at home is a surprise, but after a year of marriage I have cooked some pretty good meals. As my mom would say Jared and I look Healthy. Jared sent me a beautiful flower arrangement to school and I wore my I LOVE MY HUSBAND t-shirt to school.(Jared wore his I LOVE MY WIFE shirt as an undershirt.) The shirts were a gift from my sister Audra for our year anniversary. We had an amazing night talking about the last year, reliving the wedding and talk about future plans. Of course we went to bed early.
Our first year was amazing and I can't wait to see what next year will bring!!!
